The Pump Station Manager (PSM) is an innovative, compact, user friendly computerised flowmeter and pump station management system, designed for the monitoring of universal pumping stations and wet-well applications.
The PSM offers accurate measurement of inflow, outflow, flow totalisation, pump hours run and number of starts. The PSM simplistic design ensures a cost effective pump management system.
The conceptual operation of the PSM uses volt free contacts from the existing pump motor start contacts or control circuits, thus eliminating the need for calibration. The calculates known pumping capacities or in wet-well applications, calculates the wet-well volumes for flow measurement.
This simplistic principle of operation provides accurate flow measurement. Maintenance requirements are nil and in waste water applications, the PSM is not affected by problems with fouling and grease build up, encountered with other flow meters.
The PSM monitors the run state of each pump and provides two independent alarm relay outputs. Interfacing of the digital input and output status is via the Monitor A plug/socket connection.
The PSM provides additional analogue monitoring inputs. Such parameters as, motor current monitoring, pressure monitoring and level monitoring etc, can be configured to provide interactive reporting in the Pump Station Manager. Each input (up to 4) can be scaled in engineering units and defined in the set-up procedure. Monitoring of analogue status such as motor currents, pressure, level etc.
Maintenance requirements are nil and in waste water applications, the PSM is not affected by problems with fouling and grease build up, encountered with other flow meters.
The PSM-02 Pump Station Manager is supplied with software PMS-2000 for Windows 95, 98, 2000 or better operating system, RS232 serial communications cable, Digital Input cable, 220-110VAC/9VDC plug pack, and Operational Handbook. The unit is fitted modem interface port as standard.
