The EMS-400 Data Logger is a multi channel logger, which is powered from external 6 – 30VDC power source and accepts various inputs states. The EMS-400 provides as standard the facility to monitoring up to 5 Digital Input states and provides 2 off Digital Outputs as independent relay outputs. Both normally open and normal closed contact closures are provided.  In addition, the EMS-400 provides 4 only 4 – 20mA input connection for various primary analogue sensor, either 2 wire or 3 wire connection. Monitoring of various functions such as flow, depth of flow, temperature, pH and or conductivity is easily monitored by the versatile EMS-400 logger.

The EMS-400 Data Logger is designed as a stand alone device and is provided with universal DIN rail mounting facility. The small compact size provides ease of installation in the smallest of confined space. Data retrieval can be by either lap top computer or connection using modem interface on GSM network or the PSN network. The Environmental Data Services EMS-4000 software provides the facility for data retrieval, in addition to providing the  statistical information such as trends and text presentation of each EMS-400 site parameters. The EMS-4000 software incorporates the facility to provide a hyetograph and text functions of logged digital events and or alarm states..  The incorporation of this data can be interfaced and downloaded to other Environmental Data Services series of equipment.

The EMS-400 Data Logger is supplied with software EMS-4000 for Windows 95® or better operating system, RS232 serial communications cable, Digital/Analogue sensor cable, DC power cable, mounting hardware and Operational Handbook.
