Trade waste monitoring keeps your business compliant and your discharge under control. EDS works with some of Australia’s largest companies to measure, sample and report on what leaves their sites, efficiently and sustainably.

A trade waste program usually brings flow, sampling and quality together. EDS supplies, installs and services all three, so you deal with one team for the whole site instead of three suppliers.

For utilities, network flow data also shows trade waste where it should not be. In one Queensland catchment, persistent overnight flow with no rain to explain it led to the discovery of a trade waste connection incorrectly tied into the sewer.

What a program can include

  • Flow

    Discharge measured in open channels with area velocity meters, or in full pipes with Dynaflox ultrasonic and other closed channel meters.

  • Sampling

    ORI samplers certified under ATEX and IECEx, and MicroLevel portable, fixed and refrigerated composite samplers, with flow proportional sampling where it is required.

  • Quality

    EDS pH, EC and turbidity sensors, and Aquamonitrix for nitrate and nitrite.

  • Data and reporting

    Readings in real time to FlowSense or your own systems, and reports for your compliance records.
