Environmental Monitoring

Water quality, rainfall, temperature and sampling, designed around your project, from the baseline to compliance.

At a glance

  • Water qualitySondes, sensors, and Aquamonitrix for nutrients
  • RainfallLogged at short intervals
  • TemperatureProven in the extremes of Alaska
  • SamplingRiver, well, stormwater and watershed programs

Every environmental project has its own questions to answer. EDS works closely with you to design monitoring around them, drawing on decades of experience with the most demanding sites.

Accurate, reliable data that makes sense is how you understand the environment you work in, and the effect you’re having on it.

And it matters at every stage of a project: to guide the design, set the baseline, predict and assess impacts, check that mitigation is working, and demonstrate compliance.

Data for every stage of a project

  1. 01

    Guide the design

  2. 02

    Establish the baseline

  3. 03

    Predict and assess the impacts

  4. 04

    Validate mitigation and management procedures

  5. 05

    Demonstrate compliance

What we measure

Water qualityMulti-parameter sondes and sensors for rivers, stormwater and surface water, and Aquamonitrix for nitrate and nitrite.
RainfallTipping bucket rain gauges, logged at short intervals so storm peaks are captured.
TemperatureBeadedstream loggers and temperature cables for air, soil and water, proven in the extremes of Alaska.
SamplingAutomatic samplers for river, well, stormwater and watershed programs.
